While all three celebrate your newest little love, each captures a completely different chapter of your story.

Birth Photography
When it happens: During labor, delivery, and the first moments after birth.
Birth photography tells the story of how your baby entered the world.
From quiet moments during labor to your baby’s very first cry, these images preserve emotions that pass in the blink of an eye.
A birth gallery often includes:
- Labor and support from your partner or birth team
- Details of your birth space
- Baby’s first moments earthside
- First skin-to-skin
- First feeding
- First family introductions
- The overwhelming joy and emotion that comes with meeting your baby
Birth photography is raw, emotional, and beautifully documentary. Completely unprompted and un-posed. Your photographer is on-call until labor starts, then stays with you from active labor until 1-2 hours post-birth
If you want to remember the journey, not just the destination, this session is for you.
Fresh 48 Photography
When it happens: Within the first 24–48 hours after birth.
Fresh 48 sessions take place where your baby is born, whether that’s a hospital, birth center, or your home.
Unlike birth photography, labor and the first moments are not photographed. Instead, the focus is on your brand-new baby while they’re still wonderfully fresh.
We’ll capture things like:
- Tiny fingers and wrinkly toes
- Hospital bassinet or first bed
- Parents soaking in those first hours
- Siblings meeting baby
- Grandparents visiting
- First yawns and sleepy snuggles
There’s still very little posing. Capturing those first moments, baby-focused, while being only slight more prompted than a birth session.
The goal is simply to preserve those first hours exactly as they were.
Newborn Photography
When it happens: Usually within the first two weeks after birth, though beautiful newborn sessions can happen well beyond that.
My newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your own home.
Rather than recreating a studio, I focus on the connection between your family.
These sessions are slower paced, allowing plenty of time for feeding, diaper changes, and cuddles.
We’ll capture:
- Baby in the nursery
- Parents holding and loving on baby
- Siblings interacting naturally
- Tiny details
- Lifestyle family portraits
- The beautiful place your family now calls home
Including a combination of posed, prompted, and documentary style moments.
The result is a timeless gallery that tells the story of everyday life with your newest little one.
Can I Book More Than One?

Many families choose Birth Photography to document the arrival of their baby, Fresh 48 to remember those first precious hours, and an in-home Newborn Session to capture what life looked like once everyone settled in together.
