Grief Photography

The Jeffery Project provides complimentary services to those who are facing loss, who have a terminal diagnosis, or who are going through end of life care. It is an honor to be able to serve those in my community and to join them during such an intimate time in life.

The Jeffery Project is my personal passion project in honor of my dad who passed away in 2019. This loss emphasized for me how valuable it is to have those photographic keepsake memories.

While we try to serve as many as we can, there is limited availability for this service.

Location is exclusive to Navarro, Ellis, and Freestone County.

Who is Jeffery?

He was known as Jeff to most people, but he was Dad to me.

There was nothing he couldn't fix. There was no problem he couldn't solve. There was no stranger he wouldn't help.

He had all the cheesy dad jokes. "Hi hungry, I'm dad." was one of his favorites.

He would frequently tell us to "tell someone about Jesus today".

He was the BIGGEST Dallas Cowboys fan.

April of 2017, our lives would never be the same. My healthy, active, loving father was diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer. Glioblastoma. This was my big awakening and when life changes really started to take place. It was then that I truly understood how short life really is, and I wanted to make the most of it.

The most important thing to know about my dad is that he knew what it meant to love like Jesus, and even when his diagnosis got rough he never blamed God. Even on the bad days, he sang praises. Literally. I have a picture of him on his deck with his music playing, hands in the air, singing in worship. It makes me smile every time. I am so blessed to have been able to witness his Godly example and experience his unwavering love. He passed away on May 22, 2019.

Through the loss and growth thereafter, I’ve learned empathy. I’ve gained confidence. I’ve strengthened my faith. I go after what I want. I do what I can. I find opportunities to serve. I show love, first.

This project is my soul work, to give others what I wish I'd had more. Lasting photographic memories.
