Welcome to the Location Guide!
One of the most common questions I receive after booking is:
“Where should we take our photos?”
This guide is here to help!
Inside you’ll find a collection of some of my favorite locations throughout Navarro & Ellis county, and the surrounding areas, along with real client images so you can get a feel for each location.
Whether you’re envisioning an open field at sunset, a quiet creek, downtown charm, or something completely different, this guide is a great place to start.
Don’t see exactly what you’re imagining?
That’s okay.
These are simply some of my most-loved locations; not the only possibilities.
If you have a specific vision, own or have access to private property, or another idea.. I’d love to help bring it to life. Once your session is booked, we can brainstorm ideas together, research locations, or even rent a studio or unique venue to create something that’s completely your own.
The perfect location isn’t always the prettiest one.
It’s the one that tells your story.
Midlothian- Open field
This is a personal favorite! True open field vibes.
Corsicana- Lake Option
Corsicana- Park with red bridge
Corsicana- Downtown
Ennis- Park with white bridge
Ennis- Downtown
Ennis- Open field
Please note- this location only has bluebonnets/wildflowers around the end of March through April.
The remainder of the year there are no flowers, though it is still a lovely field/water view.
This location is a few minutes walk, on a hill, and may not be ideal for those with mobility concerns.
Palmer Property Rental
*This location has a rental fee and additional waivers/requirements. Inquire to learn more.
Irving- Las Colinas
*Client responsible for photography permit fee.
Richardson- Prairie Creek Park
*Small travel fee applies.
This is a VERY popular public photography spot that usually has a line waiting to access the waterfall spot.
I recommend planning a week day session to avoid a long wait time.
Wildflowers in Richardson
*Small travel fee applies
Please note- This location is only offered for wildflower photos. Wildflowers are only in bloom around the first 2 weeks of May.
Studio Options
Renting a studio doesn't have to mean a paper backdrop with special lighting and props (I actually don't shoot this way!).
There are SO many beautiful studios throughout DFW that have living room setups, bedroom sets, greenhouses, fields, flowers, animals, and other unique options!
I love renting a location because, while some public spots are very popular and busy (especially on weekends), renting a studio means that we will have full access to the location, all to ourselves, without waiting on the previous photographer to leave.
Studio setups may change by season or holiday. Studios have an additional fee to reserve
In-Home Option
In-home sessions are perfect for newborn or any lifestyle sessions to capture the real, raw reality of your family. These are mostly un-posed, prompt-driven to capture genuine interaction. My only requirement is that your space have sufficient natural light, most common with large windows.
Want something different?
I'm open to anything! Have private land? Want to try a new lake or park not shown above? Looking for a specific vibe or setting? Let's talk about it! Shoot me your ideas and we can find something to fit.
Here are a few more location options that would also look beautiful!
